Golden Possibilities
I made the people's skin out of felt and their clothes out of fancy material.
Now to consider how to make the unseen seen. How do you make the power of communication?
Fortunately I had some red material with a series of embroidered red spirals and dots that eminated from the edges of the spirals. When I put this centered with the Goddess Bastet and between the two people it gave the sense of connection that I was seeking. Some of the dots from the material also to indicate that the people can speak and hear and connect from their individual stand point.
Our son Alex and I are going on vacation. I ask what is needed for us to be able to hear and say the important things we each have to communicate.
I'm told we have everything we need. We each have our pillar to stand by and we'll be helped by the Egyptian Cat Goddess who would help create golden possibilities. I looked her up in Wikipedia. Her name is Bastet.
Some stone patterned felt started the Egyptian temple columns and lintle. For good measure I added gold lace and gold peacock feathers that I cut out of a larger piece of embroidered sequin netting. You can see a bigger piece on Bastet's chest. This all went on top of some dark red background material that had flecks of sparkles. It felt like temple cloth.
Making the people was lots of fun. Their skin is made of felt, with orange gauze for cheeks. Alex's hair is made of fringe. The hair of my mothering part is made of lace.
I learned a great deal from making this wall hanging. We really do have everything we need. The trick is to not worry but go into noticing the possibilities. Thank you Bastet and the wisdom that resides within us all.
